Johnny Speight's creation All Garnett (Warren Mitchell) is the larger than life, foul-mouthed and undisputed star of this seminal BBC sitcom. Recorded before a live studio audience, the series ran from 1966 until 1975.

Alf shares his cramped working class household in Wapping with his long-suffering wife (Dandy Nichols), trendy daughter Rita (Una Stubbs) and her long-haired "leftie" husband Mike (Anthony Booth).

Much of the delicious humour of the series arises from the widening generation gap in the Britain of the '60s, and the polar-opposite opinions held by Alf - an ill-educated, opinionated, Tory-voting, racist bigot; and Mike - staunchly left wing and Labour loving.

Till Death Us Do Part is, at its best, an hysterically funny satire brought to life by four very convincing comic actors.

"If you laugh with Alf Garnett you have merely been entertained. If you laugh at him you have been entertained and informed - and that's a victory for Johnny Speight" (Radio Times)

Most of the show's episodes from Series 1-3, shot in black and white, no longer exist. This box set contains the complete Series 4 (1972) and complete Series 5 (1974)
