Pictures Telling Stories is about how illustrations help to tell the stories of the written texts they accompany.
The distinguished Australian illustrator Robert Ingpen has been chosen to explore the role of illustration in story because of his outstanding mastery of the art and his long experience.
Most of the pictures reproduced in this book have been published internationally in recent years. They were selected because they show how widely narrative art can be applied.
