You have to be born somewhere, and John Harms was born in Chinchilla, Qld-a place with no connection whatsoever to Australian Rules football except for the fanatical devotion of the entire Harms family. Exiles in a land of rugby, outcasts among football heathens-providentially, they also believed in a just and merciful God so there was something to fall back on.
